Opportunities for Service

Gospel Life offers nursery for babies and toddlers up to age 3. Our nursery workers are wonderful ladies who see their time with the babies as a ministry to parents and a chance to enjoy our little ones!

Children’s Ministry

There are several Sunday School classes for various age groups where children learn about the Gospel, basic doctrine, and stories from the Scripture with practical application. After the singing during our worship service, children ages 3 and up are welcome to be dismissed to a special service geared for them where they will have the opportunity to hear a message geared for them, work on a craft, or have a snack.

Music Ministry

Music is an integral part of the ministry here. Our services include a blend of old and new songs as well as styles. It is our desire that the music here be God-honoring and worshipful, as well content that is rich in doctrine. We have several guitars as well as a variety of other instruments along with the piano who contribute to different aspects of our services. There are many ways to get involved in this aspect of our ministry, including playing for congregational singing, specials, groups, worship team, offertories, etc.

The Refired Regiment

We believe that retirement gives individuals more discretionary time to serve the Lord and enjoy one another’s company. The Refired Regiment is a group of retired men who accomplish many practical projects at the church while drinking large amounts of coffee :-)

Cross Impact at Potomac State College

During the school year GLBC sponsors a student organization at Potomac State College called Cross Impact. The goal of Cross Impact is to encourage and disciple Christian students through fellowship, prayer, and Bible study, as well as reach non-Christian students with the life-giving Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Other Ways to Serve

There are many other ministry needs at GLBC that do not neatly fit into one category. If you have questions about a particular way to serve, please see our pastor or one of our deacons.
